- Infectious Mononucleosis (Glandular Fever)
- SYMPTOMS may include chills, fatigue, headache, malaise, then sore throat
- high fever and swelling of the lymph node. There may also be difficulty with
- breathing, swelling of the eyelid, coughing, chest pains and jaundice.
- CAUSES. It is transmitted via close contact, such as with mouth or nose. It
- is usually benign, normally last only 1 to 4 weeks although some 2-3 months.
- TREATMENT. Medication may be prescribed. Gargle with salt water. Bed rest.
